Maximum performance on the smallest footprint

Then our PIRANHA® systems are ideal for you. The smallest requires less than 0.8m² of floor space and has everything you need for high-precision marking, engraving, welding and cutting. There are also numerous options that allow you to customize the PIRANHA® to your individual requirements: These include a multi-axis system, a cross table, the granite superstructure, a dual laser and even Femtosecond Laser if required. PIRANHA®

Engraving, marking, structuring

Its versatility makes the PIRANHA® the market leader in the compact class for high-precision laser marking and laser engraving. Applications range from automated type plate marking to the cold processing of workpieces using femtosecond lasers. PIRANHA® systems have what it takes to be an all-rounder thanks to numerous options. You simply select those with which the PIRANHA® optimally fulfills your laser processing requirements.

The range of configuration options is huge. For example, multi-axis systems with up to six moving linear and rotary axes, technologies for climate control and film handling as well as the individually customizable software developed by ACSYS are available. There are also rotary tables, automation solutions and special superstructures with which you can adapt the PIRANHA® to your processes. The precision package is also available for greater machining accuracy. Equipped with this, the PIRANHA® has an additional measuring system. Options such as the camera-controlled Live Adjust System (LAS) or various automation and robotic solutions further expand the PIRANHA® performance spectrum.

PIRANHA® cut

Cutting

PIRANHA® cut impresses with maximum contour accuracy during laser cutting. The system is suitable for sheets up to 3 mm thick in formats up to 600 mm × 600 mm. The cutting system works with air-cooled fiber lasers. These are available in different performance classes and, together with industry-specific optimized laser processes, enable high-precision and efficient laser flame cutting and high-pressure fusion cutting.

One of the highlights of the PIRANHA® cut is the automatic distance control (ADC). This keeps the focus of the laser at the ideal distance over the entire processing distance for curved sheets. Even material unevenness is automatically compensated for. Another innovation in the laser cutting sector is the patented Live Adjust System (LAS). It transmits live images from inside the system to the monitor on the operating terminal. Advantage: The images can be used to place the cutting layout directly and very precisely. The PIRANHA® cut can also be flexibly extended as required: for example with NC or manually controllable rotary and swivel axes for the precise machining of cylindrical workpieces.

PIRANHA® weld

Welding

The PIRANHA® weld pushes fine welding with high contour speeds into new dimensions. This enables processes and functions such as remote laser welding and highly dynamic axis interpolation. The laser welding system is therefore predestined for particularly delicate welding processes with complex contours and the highest precision requirements. The PIRANHA® weld fulfills these requirements absolutely reliably. This is ensured by their solid construction – an innovative combination of granite design and high-strength steels – as well as maximum positioning and repeat accuracy.

With the help of NC-controlled rotary and swivel axes, cylindrical, conical and rotationally symmetrical workpieces made of metal and plastic can be joined with high precision and durability. There is also a choice of quick-change special optics and welding heads with different focal lengths. This makes the PIRANHA® weld the first choice for fine laser welding of different materials.

PIRANHA® Multishift

Engraving, marking, structuring

The PIRANHA® Multishift sets new standards in fully automatic laser processing. Equipped with two lateral lift stations for loading and unloading, it offers space for 20 trays each, which position your workpieces safely and precisely. The key to the efficiency of the PIRANHA® Multishift lies in the combination of optical part recognition, smart ACSYS software and a fully automatic mechanical solution. For example, the processing parameters and labeling data can be fed directly into the machine by simply scanning barcodes or DataMatrix codes.

PIRANHA® Roboshift

Engraving, marking, structuring

“Automation included” is the motto of the PIRANHA® Roboshift. The centerpiece next to the laser is a compact 6-axis robot with the reach of a human arm. This allows workpieces to be picked up, processed and set down flexibly and dynamically in a single operation. Whether laser marking, laser structuring or laser engraving or a combination of different laser processes – the PIRANHA® Roboshift enables highly flexible process automation in many industrial sectors. The all-rounder for a wide range of laser processing applications impresses with its high throughput and short cycle times.

On the store floor, the PIRANHA® Roboshift scores with its compact design, dynamic handling characteristics and excellent networking. PIRANHA® Rotary Table

Engraving, marking, structuring, cutting

Equipped with a rotary indexing table, the PIRANHA® enables loading and unloading parallel to production time and therefore particularly high cycle rates with a small footprint. The integrated automation is designed to be particularly flexible. Whether automated processing of palletized workpieces or efficient one-off production, the PIRANHA® Rotary Table combines precision and throughput in series production.

The reversing rotary table makes it possible to load the laser system while simultaneously processing the workpieces inside the system. The integrated light barrier protects the user from accidental intervention – the rotary table stops immediately if the light barrier is interrupted. The PIRANHA® Rotary Table offers an impressive range of options:

  • Rotary indexing table with two, three or four areas for loading and unloading parallel to production time
  • Parts carrier with NC-controlled dividing head per work area
  • Large optics for simultaneous marking of several workpieces in one operation

Cross Table

NC-controlled cross tables extend the working field of ACSYS laser processing systems along the X and Y axes. Tailor-made models are available for every system family and every area of application.

DFC – Dynamic Focus Control

The DFC module from ACSYS ensures that the laser focus is constantly and dynamically tracked on curved components. This saves you the time-consuming task of splitting the layout into different focus layers. What’s more, even complex 3D geometries can be processed precisely with the dynamic focus control. Reductions in processing quality are a thing of the past.

DFS – Double Focusing System

With the Double Focusing System (DFS), you can see at a glance whether the laser processing head is at the correct focus distance from the workpiece. The correct focus distance can be determined in this way, especially for surfaces that are difficult to access or difficult to measure.

A pilot laser marks the center of the laser processing field and also offers the advantage that either fitting rectangles or the contour lines of the layout can be displayed directly. A high-resolution camera transmits images directly from the interior to the monitor on the control panel. The Double Focusing System is also available with green laser systems.

Dividing Heads

ACSYS offers you various dividing heads for precise angular positioning and further turning of workpieces. Each of the devices is NC-controlled and has an electric rotary axis as well as a manually or electrically adjustable swivel axis. Dividing heads are used for the internal and external marking of rings and cylindrical or conical workpieces. They are available with manual feed or automatic feed with automatic loading.

Heavy-Duty Drawer

Particularly heavy components can be placed in the laser system with the aid of a heavy-duty drawer or a heavy-duty drawer pull-out. The advantages of the in-house development lie in the high payload combined with particularly easy accessibility. The load capacity of the pull-out varies depending on the machine type and equipment.

LAS – Live Adjustment System

The camera-supported Live Adjustment System significantly reduces your set-up effort and enables the exact positioning of even the smallest workpieces in the system. The principle: a high-resolution camera transmits images directly from the interior to the monitor on the control panel. With the help of the infinitely variable digital zoom function, you can bring all the details of a workpiece onto the screen and place layouts with absolute precision. The target result is displayed as a preview. If required, new layouts, markings, barcodes or data matrix codes can even be created and implemented directly on the monitor – without additional workpiece measurement.

The LAS is also available as a dual camera system for the highest precision requirements. The first camera shows an image of the workpiece inserted for processing. This is the basic LAS function. The second camera provides a view directly through the beam path of the laser and delivers a high-resolution partial image of the workpiece region to be processed.

Nameplate Magazine

ACSYS offers high-performance nameplate magazines for the automated processing of nameplates on an industrial scale. These take type plates in all standard and special sizes and position them precisely under the laser lens. The result is highly efficient batch processing. Each nameplate is precisely marked or engraved.

OPR – Optical Parts Recognition

Optical part recognition from ACSYS is the key to highly efficient batch processing. The system is ideal if you feed several workpieces of the same type to your ACSYS system in bulk at the same time in order to process them in a single pass. How it works: The OPR camera module captures the parts on the workpiece carrier. The associated software uses the images to recognize the position and alignment of each individual workpiece and controls the laser so that the engravings or markings are always made exactly at the predefined position.

PLD – Pilot Laser Module

The Pilot Laser Module (PLD) generates a visual pointing laser that makes it much easier to position the workpiece correctly under the laser processing head. The clearly visible red light beam of the pilot laser offers several advantages: On the one hand, it marks the center of the laser processing field and also indicates a fitting rectangle according to the layout specification. Optionally, the fitting rectangles of all layout elements and, in the case of small layouts, the contour lines of the layout can also be displayed directly.

And with the help of the AC-LASER software, reference points and cutting edges can be precisely traced, allowing the laser process to be simulated before actual processing. In this way, the accuracy can be checked in advance and, if necessary, adjusted and simulated again without consuming material.

Precision Package

ACSYS offers the precision package for high precision requirements of accuracy class 2. Among other things, it consists of additional measuring systems. Systems equipped with this feature also have a reinforced machine bed for maximum stability and a ground steel plate with T-slots to DIN 650, H 12.

Quick Lens Changer

Demanding applications require the lens or optics to be changed for high-precision laser processing. With the quick lens changer from ACSYS, quick and easy changing when using different processing optics is child’s play. And the AC-LASER software ensures that all parameters are set correctly straight away – no matter how often you have to change the lens. The smart quick lens change system from ACSYS ensures consistently high-quality precision machining of the workpieces and maximizes efficiency in the production process.

RAS – Rapid Area Scan

With the unique Rapid Area Scan process, you can speed up the high-precision digitization of templates for the creation of 3D models by up to 30 times – including the transfer of data to CAD tools. Instead of a single measuring point, a complete measuring line is projected. This means that an original can be scanned in blocks and significant time savings can be realized during the scanning process. The scanned segments are merged by the software without any loss of quality. The line width can also be adjusted flexibly and easily. And with the precise preview of the scan, you have full control.

The Rapid Area Scan System can be integrated into all ACSYS precision laser systems of the µ series – also as a retrofit. And the direct interface to tools such as CarveCo saves even more time. RAS also offers the great advantage of scanning and processing in one system.

3D Assistant

The 3D assistant makes it easy to create complex 3D and micro-engravings. A graphic preview makes it easier to set up the workpiece. Thanks to automated readjustment of the laser focus, even very deep 3D engravings can be realized in top quality. A very high surface quality is achieved through the targeted parameterization of the laser.

AC-LASER
