Conveyor systems
Fully automatic laser processing with feed and discharge
Sophisticated conveyor systems ensure more efficient logistical processes for internal material transportation. With the right conveyor belt, roller conveyor system or other conveyor system, material flows in laser processing can be realized reliably and quickly in continuous operation.
Conveyor belts
Conveyor belts are a simple and cost-effective transport solution that are particularly suitable for light workpieces. In addition to simple belt conveyors for transporting material on flat surfaces, there are also inclined conveyors that can compensate for height differences and cleated conveyors in which the conveyor belts are divided into segments with the help of bars.
Roller conveyor systems
The advantage of roller conveyor systems is their versatility and the fact that they can be combined with other conveyor systems. Roller conveyors also offer significant advantages over other systems in terms of workpiece weight. Roller conveyor systems can be used to transport palletized workpieces as well as baskets, individual items or heavy loads. This makes roller conveyors highly efficient solutions for the automation of material infeed and outfeed.
Link belt conveyor
Link belt conveyor systems are usually chain conveyors that are used for large and complex interlinking systems. Especially where the route of the material routing is not straight. Link conveyors enable particularly fast transportation of unit loads of the same type and are also an excellent solution for variable cycle times. In conjunction with laser systems from ACSYS, link chain conveyors can be used for material feed and the removal of processed workpieces.
Robotics
Consistent results with maximum precision
From the precise positioning of workpieces to changing tools and carrying out processing steps: robotic solutions have become a popular way of increasing productivity in the field of laser processing. One reason for this is the flexibility of robots, which perform repetitive and time-consuming tasks automatically and with a high degree of repeat accuracy, and also enable fully automatic tool changes, pick-and-place and multi-sided processing of workpieces.
Pick-and-place
In pick & place applications, the focus is on increased material throughput with short cycle times. In conjunction with laser processing, the highest demands are also placed on positioning accuracy, repeatability and process stability. In this way, series production can be automated 24/7 in conjunction with material supply and removal.
Round part machining
In addition, a program-controlled dividing head can be used as a fourth rotary axis and with a manually adjustable fifth axis for interpolated laser cutting. This enables the processing of round components.
Software automation
Smart tools for efficient and precise laser processing
Software can be used to automate numerous tasks, workflows and processes in the field of laser processing. Whether in the planning and prioritization of orders, for remote monitoring and control, in data analysis for trend detection and predictive maintenance or with intelligent interfaces to external systems – with smart tools and algorithms you can increase productivity, efficiency and precision.
Automatic part recognition
Optical part recognition from ACSYS is the key to highly efficient batch processing. The system is ideal if you feed several workpieces of the same type to your ACSYS system in bulk at the same time in order to process them in a single pass. How it works: The OPR camera module captures the parts on the workpiece carrier. The associated software uses the images to recognize the position and alignment of each individual workpiece and controls the laser so that the engravings or markings are always made exactly at the predefined position.
Interfaces / APIs
Standardized and intelligent interfaces, such as OPC/UA for Industry 4.0 applications, allow laser systems to be seamlessly connected to other machines and software solutions. This interoperability optimizes process control, enables real-time data monitoring and analysis as well as improved error detection and correction. For you, this means increased productivity, efficiency and flexibility in laser processing.
DataMatrix & QR codes
Whether DataMatrix Code (DMC), barcode or QR code: Various standards have become established in the industrial environment for product marking and the traceability of workpieces. The fully automatic generation of DataMatrix, QR and barcodes with texts, serial numbers or time stamps is one of the standard functions of the AC-LASER software.
Feeding systems
Fully and semi-automatic material feed for laser processing
From palletizing, coil feeders and reel-to-reel to AGVs and hopper systems, the options we offer you for feeding materials into your ACSYS laser system range – including individually adapted software for maximum efficiency.
Coil feeder
Coil feeders, reel winders or reels are used to continuously feed coils of material, such as metal or plastic, into the laser processing machine. Thanks to the precise feeding and unwinding of the material, the coil feeder ensures a constant supply to the machine, resulting in consistent and efficient processing. This increases productivity, minimizes downtimes and optimizes the entire production process.
Reel-to-Reel
In roll-to-roll systems, material is transferred from a feed roll and through a laser processing system to a take-up roll. This enables continuous processing of materials such as foils, metal strips or labels. By automatically handling and precisely aligning the material, the reel-to-reel system optimizes the production process, minimizes manual intervention and improves efficiency.
Hopper systems
Hopper systems are used, for example, for handling small parts in order to provide them in a controlled and metered process for continuous further processing. A hopper system also reduces downtimes, as the materials can be refilled automatically as soon as stocks run low.
Palletizing
When it comes to an orderly material flow, palletizing is a popular automation solution. Palletizers or tray stackers take on the task of arranging workpieces or materials on pallets and automatically transporting them to the processing area of the laser system. Organized and uniform feeding using pallets/trays increases the quality of processing and overall efficiency.
