Franziska manages job and family

Franziska is a real “working mum”: In accounting, she juggles numbers and, together with her team, ensures that all the figures at ACSYS are correct. And thanks to flexible working hours and mobile working models, she still has time for her family. In this interview, she explains how she came to ACSYS and what she likes about her job.

What brought you to us back then?

At the time, I was looking for an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and found the vacancies for apprentices at ACSYS. I was immediately impressed by the young team and the future-oriented laser technology, and I immediately felt very much at home in the ACSYS family.

How has ACSYS developed since then?

I’ve been with the company for almost 20 years now and it’s great to see how it has developed and continues to develop. But in my opinion, that is what sets ACSYS apart: There are always new challenges that help us grow – both as a company and personally. What I like is the team spirit here. Together we can really solve any challenge.

And how have you developed?

Starting my apprenticeship at ACSYS straight after leaving school was just right for me. Immediately after completing my training as an industrial clerk in 2009, I started an extra-occupational training course to become an IHK business administrator. ACSYS supported me in all matters and opened up new perspectives for me in the company after graduation. I really like this kind of personal development, because you are not so much forced into one position or function and can develop individually.

What is special about your job, what do you like most?

In my job in financial accounting, I not only like dealing with figures, but above all communicating with colleagues – across departments and locations, as well as with customers and suppliers worldwide.

What does ACSYS stand for for you and why do you like coming there?

After my parental leave, I was happy to come back to ACSYS and thanks to the flexible working hours and the possibility of mobile working, it is easy to reconcile work and family life. And the nice conversations with colleagues during the lunch break in the cafeteria or on a walk naturally also enrich the working day.

What tip do you have specifically for those looking for an apprenticeship?

Above all, it should be a job that suits you. And in which there is sufficient potential for development – this applies to the company as well as to the chosen profession. For me, this includes above all a positive environment in which I can develop.
