InnoTeam
Quality-optimized high-rate removal of carbide and tool steel with subsequent microstructuring using ultrashort laser pulses with the aim of optimizing process efficiency and the tribological and wear properties of the component.
The aim of the project is to implement an industrial research project in a rapidly growing international field of the key technologies photonics and micro- and nanotechnology designated by the Free State of Saxony. The core team members involved in the project are to gain extensive knowledge and experience in science and industry in order to be available to the Saxon labor market as sought-after specialists after the project is completed.
The technical objective of the project is to find parameters with which tool steel and carbide can be machined to a high quality and at the same time highly efficiently. In order to achieve this goal, the influence of the laser parameters used is to be researched, with the main focus on the two parameters pulse duration and wavelength of the laser pulses used, and the parameters of the beam deflection are to be validated, with which an optimized movement of the beam over the workpiece to be processed can be realized.
