Interior / Interior

Graining & perforation
The graining of interior trim in the automotive industry is usually etched. A more sustainable processing method is to engrave the surface using a laser to create the corresponding graining. Laser engraving is often simpler and more economical, especially for small parts and complex shapes, such as those found in interior trim in the automotive industry. In addition, defective surface structures in a workpiece can be optically repaired with the laser.
In addition, the creation of high-quality and complex perforation patterns on various organic and textile materials is easier, cheaper and more efficient with the help of laser technology.
Day/night design
The base material can be exposed by selectively removing a top layer, such as anodizing, foiling, paint or chrome. Backlighting can then be used to create day/night designs on switches and other decorative elements in the vehicle interior. There are virtually no limits to the design possibilities with laser ablation, and with the help of the unique Large Field Removal technology from ACSYS, even large 3D workpieces can be provided with the finest structures and patterns without any problems.
Plastic welding
Plastic laser welding of speedometer bezels no longer requires screws, staples or glue. ACSYS fiber laser technology works with a large focal depth, so that process-tolerant welding is possible even if the materials have different wall thicknesses or are not perfectly perpendicular during the welding process.
Exterior / Exterior
High design standards, lightweight construction and cost pressure are the drivers of innovation in the automotive industry. Suppliers of front and rear lights, front grilles or interior and exterior foiling are just as affected by this as car manufacturers themselves. The use of laser technology can reduce component costs and assembly times while at the same time increasing quality and visual appeal.
Large-area paint removal
The LFR® technology from ACSYS enables the laser processing of 3D components with an area of up to 1,250 mm × 1,250 mm. The entire area can be processed during Large Field Removal without axis movement and the spot size of the laser remains precise thanks to continuous laser processing. This means that visible lugs or overlaps during processing are a thing of the past.
Selective material removal
Automotive rims must meet the highest aesthetic standards and constantly break new ground in terms of design, including individualization. The ultimate here is paint removal with ACSYS laser engraving. Compared to conventional processes such as brushing or pad printing, partial, micro-precise paint stripping with laser technology offers unrivaled quality and durability. Laser joining
Laser joining plays a particularly important role in battery production. This laser process offers significant advantages over conventional processes in terms of quality, cost and flexibility. This means that individual components or cells can be assembled into modules or packs more efficiently and with higher quality using laser technology. Especially when new multifunctional materials are used, which can often only be processed with a laser.
Laser welding

Laser cutting
